He has been successful in all his efforts to grow Karunya Eye Hospital as one of the best Eye Hospitals in Kerala... He has been successful in all his efforts to grow Karunya Eye Hospital as one of the best Eye Hospitals in Kerala. Being the Chairman & Managing Director of the Hospital, he aims for a system that is process driven and immaculate, which follows strict protocol and rules. The tradition of “committed to excellent eye care” continues from the time the hospital started 18 years ago, thanks to the meticulous system initiated by his family. His knowledge in the field of Opticals and Eye Clinic, has enabled him to relate to doctors and paramedics working in the hospital. Before taking on the reins of administration at Karunya Eye Hospital, he had extended his knowledge for the growth of K.K Opticals & Eye Clinic at Adoor, which he has started around 40 years ago. Following the tradition of quality treatment at affordable cost, he upholds the mantra of the hospital “committed to excellent eye care”.

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Thomas joined with Karunya Eye Hospital August 2017 and his contributions helped the Hospital to reach in its present position... He plays a major role in determining the organisation’s operations, human resources, empanelment with Government Projects like ECHS, CGHS, MEDISEP, around 32 major Private Health Insurance Companies and accreditation process with NABH. He is actively involved in the day-to-day activities of the organisation. He has taken up the role of an agent of transformation to support the organisation building, optimise value across overall organisational processes. No matter how busy, he ensures that he finds time to personally mentor staff and help them hone their skills. He has around 35 years of experience and prior to joining Karun.

Having Twenty Six years of experience with Army Medical Corps (OT Manager) and Ten Years of experience in reputed Eye Hospitals in Kerala... ...in the position as OT Manager and Centre Head. Presently he is the Team Leader & Centre Head of our Kottarakkara Centre.

Mr. Mukhesh drives the customer relations of Karunya Eye Hospital, and ensures that a healthy relationship is maintained between the hospital and its patients/customers... He is working with Karunya for the last seven years and prior to joining Karunya, he has worked in different positions in reputed Private Organizations in India as well as abroad over 27 years. Passionate about people and building relations, he is capable of handling difficult situations without losing his cool and addresses any dispute the public has with the hospital. He is now the Centre Head & Team Leader of our Pandalam Centre.

Nursing Superintendent

Working with Karunya since 2016. Oversee and coordinate all nursing staff and patient care activities... ensuring the highest standards of ophthalmic nursing care are consistently maintained. Ensure accurate implementation of clinical protocols, particularly for pre & post operative eye care, infection control, and medication administration. Organize regular training sessions to keep nursing staff updated on the latest ophthalmic procedures, nursing practices, and patient safety standards. Monitor nursing practices and outcomes to maintain compliance with NABH standards relevant to eye care. Work closely with ophthalmologists and allied health professionals to ensure seamless patient care, addressing individual needs and enhancing patient satisfaction. Manage nursing schedules, optimize staff allocation, and ensure availability of necessary supplies and equipment within the nursing units. Develop, implement, and periodically review nursing policies and standard operating procedures tailored to the specific needs of ophthalmic patients. Coordinate response protocols for ophthalmic emergencies and support the nursing team in delivering timely, effective care. Supervise the nursing team's involvement in patient education regarding eye care, post-surgery instructions, and ongoing treatment plans. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of nursing activities, patient care plans, and incident reports, maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.

Head Nurse

Lead and manage the nursing team across all departments, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to ophthalmic nursing standards. Oversee nursing care for pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative eye patients, ensuring timely and compassionate service. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff knowledge in ophthalmic procedures, infection control, and patient communication. Implement and monitor hospital policies, standard operating procedures, and NABH accreditation standards relevant to eye care. Ensure availability and proper maintenance of nursing supplies, instruments, and medications in coordination with the OT and pharmacy. Support patient education regarding eye treatments, surgeries, post-operative care, and follow-up procedures. Maintain accurate nursing records, patient reports, and incident logs, ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in clinical practices, hygiene, and patient handling.

Public Relations Officer

More than Twenty-Five years of overseas experience in Administration, Logistics and Offshore Operations in Middle East & African Continent. Act as the first point of contact for patients and their families, providing clear information about services, appointments, procedures, and hospital policies. Promote a positive image of the hospital through courteous interaction, professional conduct, and consistent communication with the public and media. Liaison Between Patients and Hospital Departments. Co-ordinate with medical, administrative, and nursing teams to ensure patient needs and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. Organize and support eye camps, awareness drives, and community engagement programs to educate the public about eye health and hospital services. Collect patient feedback and complaints, coordinate resolution with relevant departments, and ensure issues are addressed to enhance patient satisfaction. Support planning and execution of hospital events, conferences, guest visits, and other public functions. Work with the marketing team to support campaigns that highlight hospital services, specialties, and achievements in eye care.

She is a distinguished nursing professional with over 25 years of OT experience and a deep commitment to healthcare excellence. She is actively involved in the OT & OP activities of the organisation with a high standard of dedication.
